This is captured over looking the Mississippi River from Governor Daniel Dunklins Grave State Historic Site. Perched on a bluff above the river at Herculaneum, the grave of Missouris fifth governor provides a quiet place to reflect on Missouri, then and now. In 1843, Dunklin was appointed by Gov. Thomas Reynolds as commissioner to adjust and designate the boundary between Missouri and Arkansas. He held this appointment until his death on July 25, 1844, from pneumonia. Hi , My name is Peggy, Taking photos has been a great passion since my early life. Having learned solely by trial and error and hands on practice..Self taught .Capturing nature and wildlife has become my primary goal. There are so many different expressions in animals and even landscapes, that the possiblities are endless! An eye for detail has contributed greatly to any successes I have enjoyed. Born and raised in Missouri, I love the woods and the endless possibilities of beauty in the rolling mountains of the Ozark Foot Hills. Outgoing and tenacious ,I put my heart and soul into my photography and everything I do! . I currently learning to do some art work in addition to my photography.
