Description
I captured this right after a rain. The colors just bursted out from all the rain. This from our DogBerry bush. The dogberry bush, also called red chokeberry or choke pear, is native to most of eastern North America. It grows as a clumping, deciduous shrub that can reach a height of 6 to 10 feet and a width of 3 to 5 feet at maturity. Dogberry develops many erect branches covered with glossy green leaves. In spring, small white flowers appear that attract honeybees. In fall, the leaves turn a bright red and many red berries develop in clusters. The berries remain after the leaves drop, making an eye-catching winter display against the bare branches. The cultivar "Brilliantissima" is especially decorative since it flowers more abundantly than the native form.

You captured this image at the perfect moment! The buds are beautiful, and the drop of rain, whose fall is eminent, is a lovely addition! v
