I captured this at Missouri Botanical Gardens located in St Louis Missouri. What a gorgeous place to be.Some facts about Dahlias.Dahlia flowers come in a wide range of bright colors, shapes and sizes. Many people grow them for cut flower arrangements or to add color to a home garden or landscape. They grow from bulbs, and many gardeners find them relatively easy to care for with a little bit of information about the plants.Dahlia plants range in height from 1 to 6 feet. Their flowers also vary in size, from 2 to 12 inches across. Dahlias with large flowers usually have four or fewer flowers per plant. Gardeners who want lots of flowers on the same plant should grow smaller varieties of dahlias, with blooms smaller than 6 inches. Some dahlias have a spread-out shape with longer petals, while others have a rounder shape with dense and short petals.
Hi , My name is Peggy, Taking photos has been a great passion since my early life. Having learned solely by trial and error and hands on practice..Self taught .Capturing nature and wildlife has become my primary goal. There are so many different expressions in animals and even landscapes, that the possiblities are endless! An eye for detail has contributed greatly to any successes I have enjoyed. Born and raised in Missouri, I love the woods and the endless possibilities of beauty in the rolling mountains of the Ozark Foot Hills. Outgoing and tenacious ,I put my heart and soul into my photography and everything I do! . I currently learning to do some art work in addition to my photography.
